Today’s Weather (Dec 14): Cloudy Skies, Showers, and Rough Seas Ahead

Clouds moving in from the east-southeast will begin to influence the weather in Mauritius from this afternoon, bringing a mix of sunny intervals and passing showers.

This morning will be partly cloudy, with a few showers mainly over the windward slopes and central plateau. During the afternoon and evening, more frequent and sometimes moderate showers are expected in the east, south, and central regions. Fog patches may form over the high grounds, reducing visibility.

Temperatures will range between 24–27°C on the highlands and 29–32°C along the coasts. Tonight, temperatures will drop to 19–21°C in the central plateau and 23–25°C on the coast.

Winds will blow from the east-southeast at around 25 km/h, with gusts reaching 50 km/h. The sea will be rough beyond the reefs, with southwesterly swells of around 3 meters, making it unsafe for open-sea or lagoon activities on the western and southern coasts.

High tide: 10:01 and 23:02
Low tide: 16:38 and tomorrow at 04:14
Sunrise: 05:24
Sunset: 18:44

Overall, today brings a mix of sun and cloud, warm temperatures, and a breezy afternoon, with showers expected mainly in the east and south.
