Today’s weather across Mauritius carries a true taste of summer. The island wakes up under bright skies and calm winds, while temperatures rise quickly throughout the morning. Although some high clouds will drift across the sky, the overall conditions remain calm and warm — perfect for enjoying the sunshine before a few changes arrive overnight.
Today’s Weather: Bright Morning, Hot Afternoon
Most of Mauritius starts the day under clear skies, but along the eastern and western coasts, thin high-altitude clouds may create a reddish morning glow.
Winds remain gentle, blowing 12 km/h from the north-northeast in the morning and increasing slightly to 18 km/h from the north later in the day.
It will be very hot today, with temperatures reaching around 33.5°C in Port Louis, Terre Rouge, Rivière Noire, and Le Morne.
In the afternoon, the weather becomes partly cloudy over the Central Plateau, though the rain risk remains low — if any showers occur, rainfall will stay below 5 mm.
After midnight, light rain may develop first over the north, then gradually spread across the island on Friday as a humid and unstable zone moves closer from the northwest. Around La Réunion, two developing low-pressure areas are already generating heavy rain and thunderstorms, some exceeding 75 mm in three hours.
