A rather unsettled stretch of weather continues this Sunday across Mauritius. The day starts with widespread cloud cover, but despite the grey morning, intense rainfall is not expected for most regions. Local showers may still appear later, especially during the afternoon.
Today’s Weather – Mauritius
The morning begins cloudy, with a light 19 km/h southeasterly breeze. The clouds moving over the island are not carrying heavy rain, and early conditions remain calm. However, a weak instability line approaching from the southeast could trigger 3–13 mm of rainfall in the afternoon, though the weather will remain patchy and localised.
Rain will not be widespread, and many coastal areas may stay entirely dry. During the evening, a second round of light showers is possible. Tomorrow still carries a chance of rain as the unstable weather pattern continues.
Marine Weather – Increasing Swell
The sea temperature stands at 26°C, but the southern coastline is facing a rough morning with 3-metre waves, making marine conditions challenging.
