Today’s Weather – Mauritius and Surrounding Islands (Nov. 6)

Today’s weather in Mauritius begins cloudy, with light showers possible across several regions until around 8 AM. Rain intensity will gradually decrease through the morning as a light breeze of 12 km/h blows from the east at surface level, while higher altitudes experience winds near 8 km/h.

From today until Sunday, the island will move into a more unstable and humid weather phase. Moisture levels will remain high, and atmospheric instability will increase, encouraging the formation of local clouds and tropical showers. By the afternoon, convective clouds may develop across parts of the island, with rainfall totals potentially reaching up to 37 mm. However, today’s expected rainfall is estimated between 8 mm and 22 mm.

Tomorrow’s conditions will be similar, while on Saturday there is a higher risk of thunderstorms, especially over the Central Plateau. Around 1 PM today, isolated thunderstorms may also form off the western coastline.

At sea, conditions are generally calm — waves are around 1.2 m in the west and north, and between 1.4 m and 1.7 m along the eastern and southern coasts.
High tide: 12:41 AM and 12:42 PM
Low tide: 6:37 AM and 7:09 PM
Sunrise: 5:25 AM
Sunset: 6:21 PM
