Today’s Weather – Mauritius and Surrounding Islands (Nov. 4)

Today’s weather in Mauritius begins calm and mostly sunny. Early this morning, a few clouds developed along the eastern coastline, but they will quickly move back over the sea. Around sunrise, most regions will enjoy clear skies and a pleasant start to the day. Winds are light from the east-southeast at around 14 km/h.

During the late morning and early afternoon, localized cloud formations are expected over the Central Plateau, drifting towards areas such as Réduit and Pamplemousses. These clouds may bring a few light showers, though rainfall amounts will remain low. Port Louis may also experience brief drizzle later in the day, but overall, the weather will stay warm and mostly fair across the island.

Sea conditions remain favourable and calm, with offshore wave heights around 1.5 meters.

Rodrigues Island – Weather Outlook

Rodrigues recorded no rainfall yesterday. This morning, skies are mostly clear, and the easterly breeze will blow at around 21 km/h. Around 8 AM, a thin cloud band moving in from the east may bring a short cloudy spell, but the chance of rain is minimal. Any showers will be brief and light. Offshore waves are moderate at about 1.7 meters, and sea conditions remain safe for marine activities.

Agalega Islands – Weather Outlook

Agalega will experience convective activity today, with towering clouds capable of producing heavy tropical showers. Localized rain is expected at times throughout the day, so outdoor plans should be made with caution.
