Rodrigues Island – Weather Outlook

Rodrigues experienced no rainfall yesterday, and similar weather is expected today. Some small clouds may drift across the island in the morning, bringing light rainfall of about 0.3 to 2 mm. Otherwise, the day will be mostly sunny with an average southeasterly wind of 28 km/h. Offshore waves are around 2.2 meters high.

Agalega Islands – Weather Situation

Agalega started the morning under cloudy skies with a chance of rain until around 11 AM. The outer cloud bands linked to Tropical Storm CHENGE are still nearby, but as the system moves west-northwest, these clouds will gradually clear, bringing improvement later in the day.

Winds are currently averaging 33 km/h, and the sea remains very rough, with waves reaching up to 6.5 meters. At 3 AM, the storm’s center was located near latitude 8.2° S and longitude 52.2° E, moving west-northwest at about 18 km/h. The system is now around 467 km northwest of Agalega.

Another low-pressure system has developed far northeast of Mauritius, approximately 2,710 km away, but it poses no threat to the region.

Wishing everyone a beautiful and safe weekend across Mauritius and its islands!
