Weather forecast for Mauritius: 24th-25th July, Thursday and Friday

The end of the week will bring slightly more variable weather conditions across Mauritius. On Thursday, clouds are expected to increase throughout the day, especially in the afternoon and evening hours, with a chance of passing showers in the central and eastern regions. By Friday, the atmosphere will settle again, and sunshine is set to return in most areas. The southeast wind will remain moderate, occasionally picking up offshore, while daytime temperatures will stay pleasantly warm, ranging from 25 to 27 °C along the coast and between 20 to 23 °C on the plateau. While the lagoon waters will remain calm, wave activity on the outer reefs may be moderate on Thursday but should ease by Friday.

North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)

Temperatures will reach 27 °C, and winds will blow from the southeast at 15–20 km/h. The lagoon will stay calm, ideal for swimming.

Northwest Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)

Mostly sunny conditions are expected for much of the day. The temperature will reach 28 °C. The southeast breeze will remain light, and the sea will be calm. Slight morning haze is possible but will clear quickly.

Port Louis and Surroundings

The capital will enjoy mainly sunny skies, with the weather remaining warm and dry. Afternoon cloud build-up is possible, though rain is unlikely. The temperature may climb to 27 °C, and moderate northeast winds will keep the air feeling fresh.

West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)

A beautiful sunny day awaits the west coast. Temperatures will peak around 28 °C, with gentle breezes and calm seas. The weather here will be perfect for beach outings or boat trips.

Southwest Coast (Le Morne)

Winds will be slightly stronger in this region, reaching 25 km/h. Temperatures will stay around 26 °C, and while the sea remains safe, some swell may be observed beyond the reef. Partly cloudy skies are likely, especially late in the day.

South Coast (Bel Ombre)

Mainly sunny conditions will dominate the south, with temperatures near 26 °C. Winds will be steady at 15–20 km/h. The outer reef may still show some wave action, so caution is advised for water activities offshore.

South Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)

Blue Bay will start the day with light winds and a mix of sun and clouds. Afternoon skies may become overcast, but rain chances stay below 20%. The temperature will hover around 26 °C, with calm lagoon conditions.

East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)

Morning sunshine will give way to growing cloud cover in the afternoon. A 30% chance of light showers is expected later in the day. Daytime highs will reach 25 °C. Winds may be slightly stronger, and the sea outside the reef will be choppier.

July 25, Friday

North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)

The weather will improve significantly on Friday with sunny skies from morning to evening. The temperature will rise to 27 °C, and winds will ease to 10–15 km/h. The sea will be calm and perfect for a relaxing swim.

Northwest Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)

Clear skies and warm sunshine will prevail throughout the day. With temperatures around 28–29 °C and calm winds, the weather will be ideal for all types of outdoor activities.

Port Louis and Surroundings

A sunny and dry day is expected in the capital. Temperatures will hover around 28 °C. The gentle breeze from the northeast and bright skies will make it a pleasant day for city walks or excursions.

West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)

Uninterrupted sunshine and light winds are forecast for this region. The temperature will be around 28 °C. The sea remains calm, offering perfect conditions for swimming and snorkelling.

Southwest Coast (Le Morne)

Friday brings sunshine and a drop in wind intensity. Temperatures will climb to 27–28 °C. The lagoon will be safe, and wave action beyond the reef will be minimal, making it a good day for kitesurfers and swimmers alike.

South Coast (Bel Ombre)

Bright weather will continue here as well. The temperature will stay near 27 °C. Winds will be weak, and the calm sea conditions will be excellent for relaxing by the shore.

South Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)

The morning will be sunny, with only a few scattered clouds in the afternoon. No rain is expected. The sea will be calm, and water clarity high—perfect for a snorkeling adventure.

East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)

On Friday, the east coast will enjoy clearer skies and weaker winds. Temperatures will reach 27 °C, and sea conditions will improve significantly, especially near the shore.
