Weather forecast for Mauritius: 7th-8th July, Monday and Tuesday

The beginning of the week will bring a mix of breezy and sunny conditions across Mauritius. Monday’s weather will still be influenced by a moderate southeasterly wind, while Tuesday promises calmer skies and more stable conditions. Most regions of the island will enjoy warm temperatures and tranquil lagoons, perfect for beach days and coastal exploration. Although the sea beyond the reefs may remain choppy in the south and east, the overall weather in Mauritius will remain favorable for both relaxation and light adventure. Monday, July 7

North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)
The weather will be bright and breezy in the north, with clear skies dominating the morning. Temperatures will peak around 27°C, and the southeasterly wind will blow at 25 km/h. The lagoon remains calm and is ideal for morning swims and beach walks.

Northwest Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)
A beautiful beach day is in store, with just a few passing clouds in the afternoon. The weather remains dry and pleasant, with highs of 27°C and a light breeze around 22 km/h. Great conditions for snorkeling and relaxing by the sea.

Port Louis & Central Plateau
The weather here will begin with some early morning cloudiness and possibly light fog over the plateau. By mid-morning, sunshine will return. Temperatures will reach 26°C in Port Louis and hover around 23°C on the higher grounds. Winds can reach gusts of up to 50 km/h.

West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)
Expect mostly sunny weather throughout the day. Winds will be mild, at around 18 km/h. The temperature will reach 27°C, and the lagoon water will be warm and crystal clear – perfect for swimming and paddleboarding.

Southwest Coast (Le Morne)
Le Morne will experience stronger wind gusts up to 45 km/h, with choppy waters outside the reef. The weather will be mostly sunny with temperatures around 25°C. Ideal for experienced kitesurfers looking for action.

South Coast (Bel Ombre, airport region)
After a cloudy start, sunshine will take over for most of the day. Temperatures will rise to 26°C with wind speeds around 30 km/h. Expect rough seas beyond the reef, but calm and safe waters in the lagoons.

Southeast Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
Partly cloudy and breezy in the morning, clearing up by late morning. The weather will be stable, with a high of 26°C and winds at 32 km/h. Slightly rough conditions may be present beyond the reef.

East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)
A chance of brief morning showers followed by sunshine and scattered clouds. The weather stays warm with highs around 25°C. Winds near 30 km/h and active swell outside the reef may make sea conditions a bit rough.

Tuesday, July 8

North Coast
Tuesday will bring even better weather in Mauritius, with calm conditions and plenty of sunshine. Winds will ease to 18 km/h, and temperatures will peak at 27°C. The sea will remain flat and inviting.

Northwest Coast
Clear skies and a gentle breeze make it a perfect day for beach activities. The weather will remain sunny and dry throughout, with temperatures at 27°C and light winds at 15 km/h.

Port Louis & Central Plateau
Sunny for most of the day, though a light afternoon shower is possible in the highlands. Port Louis will reach 26°C, while the central plateau stays around 23°C. Winds are lighter, generally under 25 km/h.

West Coast
Flawless beach weather continues here. Light winds around 12 km/h, brilliant sunshine, and 27°C make it an excellent day for swimming, sunbathing, and boat outings.

Southwest Coast
Still some swell outside the reef, but the wind will subside to 25 km/h. The weather remains dry and mostly clear, with temperatures hovering around 25°C. Good conditions for water sports with moderate experience.

South & Southeast Coast
Sunny with some patchy afternoon clouds, but no rain expected. Temperatures will reach 25–26°C, and winds will blow between 25–30 km/h. Lagoon conditions remain safe.

East Coast
Bright skies in the morning with some cloud build-up later in the day. The weather will be pleasant and dry, with highs around 25°C. Winds continue at 28–30 km/h, and the sea remains active outside the reef.
