Friday, July 4

North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)

The weather will be dry and fairly bright on the north coast. Some passing clouds are expected in the morning, but sunshine will dominate for most of the day. Maximum temperature will be around 27°C, with a steady southeasterly wind at 20 km/h. The lagoon remains calm and inviting for a morning swim or boat ride.

Northwest Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)

A humid start to the day will give way to sunshine and mild conditions. The weather will be perfect for a beach outing, with highs of 27°C and gentle winds at around 18 km/h. Excellent underwater visibility makes it a great day for snorkeling.

Port Louis & Central Plateau

Expect some morning mist and perhaps a short rain shower on the plateau. By midday, the weather becomes drier and windier, with gusts reaching 45 km/h. Daytime temperatures will reach 26°C in Port Louis and around 22–23°C in the highlands.

West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)

Sunny skies and light breezes make for perfect beach weather. The temperature will peak at 27°C, and winds will remain light at 15 km/h. The sea is warm and shallow – great for swimming or relaxing by the shore.

Southwest Coast (Le Morne)

Strong southeasterly winds and big waves define the day here. Winds may reach 25–30 knots, with swell heights up to 2.8 meters beyond the reef. Air temperatures will be around 25°C, but it may feel cooler in the breeze. Ideal conditions for experienced surfers and kitesurfers.

South Coast (Bel Ombre, Airport region)

Scattered morning showers are possible, clearing into sunshine by midday. Expect highs of 26°C and steady winds around 30 km/h. The sea is rough beyond the reef, with 3-meter waves – not ideal for open-water activities.

Southeast Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)

Cloudy and windy in the early hours, with skies brightening later. Winds around 35 km/h will keep the seas choppy. Temperatures will reach 26°C, but marine activities should be limited to sheltered areas.

East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)

A couple of morning showers are possible, followed by clearer intervals. Winds will remain strong at 35 km/h, and the sea will be rough beyond the reef, with 3-meter swells. The air will be slightly cooler, around 25°C.

Saturday, July 5

North Coast

Clear skies and pleasant weather in Mauritius will continue into Saturday. The wind eases to 15 km/h, and the sea remains calm. Maximum temperature stays at 27°C – a great day for beach lovers.

Northwest Coast

Perfect conditions with little to no clouds. Light winds (12 km/h), clear water, and 27°C make it ideal for sunbathing and snorkelling.

Port Louis & Central Plateau

Clouds may cover the sky early in the day, with a short light rain shower around 4 PM. Temperature reaches 26°C in the city and 22°C on the plateau. Wind remains noticeable, but lighter than on Friday.

West Coast

Sunny skies persist, with little change from the previous day. Winds drop to 10 km/h, and the maximum temperature stays at 27°C. A superb day for diving or water sports.

Southwest Coast

Some clouds linger but the wind eases to 20–25 knots. The reef still produces 2-meter swells. Temperature stays at 25°C. Ideal for intermediate to advanced wind sports.

South and Southeast Coast

Sunny and dry for most of the day, with some light afternoon clouds but no rain expected. Air temperatures range between 25–26°C, with winds around 25–30 km/h. The sea within the lagoons will remain relatively calm.

East Coast

Clear in the morning, but more clouds will develop in the afternoon. The weather remains dry with a high around 25°C. The wind holds steady at 30 km/h, and the swell beyond the reef decreases slightly to about 2.5 meters.
