Weather forecast for Mauritius: 27th and 28th June, Friday and Saturday

The last two days of the week promise classic tropical winter weather in Mauritius. On Friday, the island will still feel the effects of the southeast trade winds with occasional morning showers on the southern and southeastern coasts. By Saturday, the weather will calm noticeably: the winds will ease, and more consistent sunshine will dominate, especially along the western and northern coasts. Daily highs will hover between 26–28 °C, with nighttime temperatures around 20 °C. While the lagoons remain calm and safe for swimming and snorkeling, 2 to 3-meter waves are expected beyond the reef in several areas. Let’s take a closer look at the regional breakdown of the weather:

Saturday features sunnier skies and more stable air, especially on the western and northern sides of the island. The calm lagoon waters are excellent for swimming and snorkeling, while surfers and kitesurfers will find suitable conditions outside the reef. As always, check the latest updates from the Mauritius Meteorological Services before heading out, as tropical weather can shift quickly even in the dry season.
