As the new week begins, the weather in Mauritius presents a classic winter pattern: southeast trade winds, a mix of clouds and sunshine, and occasional light showers mainly along windward slopes. Monday starts with more cloud cover and short-lived drizzle in some regions, especially the highlands and southeast, while Tuesday brings clearer skies, milder winds, and even more favorable beach conditions. Temperatures will remain steady across both days, with daytime highs ranging between 26–28°C and nighttime lows dipping to around 20°C. The sea will stay at a pleasant 25°C, with gentle lagoon waters and rougher seas beyond the reefs.

Let’s take a closer look at the regional breakdown:
Monday, June 23
North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)
The weather in Mauritius along the north coast begins with partial cloud cover in the morning, giving way to sunnier intervals by midday. Highs will reach around 27°C, and the southeast breeze will stay light, averaging 18 km/h. Lagoon waters are calm and great for swimming and stand-up paddleboarding.
Northwest Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)
Expect mostly sunny conditions here. After a hazy start, the sky clears to reveal perfect beach weather. Temperatures will climb to 28°C, and humidity remains manageable. The calm sea invites both swimmers and snorkelers alike.
Port Louis and Central Plateau
Early morning cloud and mist may result in light showers, especially between 7 and 9 a.m. on the plateau. However, the weather improves quickly, with bright conditions in Port Louis and highs of 27°C. The central plateau will remain cooler, around 24–25°C, with wind gusts near 45 km/h in exposed areas.
West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)
This area enjoys some of the most stable weather in Mauritius. Expect sunny skies, minimal wind, and a high of 28°C. The calm lagoon will be ideal for swimming, diving, or simply relaxing on the beach.
Southwest Coast (Le Morne)
Stronger southeast winds will pick up to 30–32 km/h along the beaches, and up to 50–55 km/h on the summit. The outer reef will see wave heights up to 2.5 meters, making this a prime day for advanced kite- and windsurfers. Temperatures remain steady around 26°C.
South Coast (Bel Ombre)
Cloudier skies and brief morning drizzle are possible here, though no significant rainfall is expected. The weather will gradually improve through the day, with temperatures around 26°C. Winds of 25–30 km/h will keep the air feeling fresh.
Southeast Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
The morning may start grey and breezy, with a few isolated showers. Conditions brighten by midday, and temperatures reach 26–27°C. Although the breeze remains strong (30–35 km/h), the lagoon stays swimmable and inviting.
East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)
Wind-driven clouds bring a few short showers during the morning hours, clearing later in the day. The weather remains warm with highs around 26°C. Winds reach up to 35–40 km/h, and reef waves may exceed 3 meters, making offshore boating risky.

Southwest Coast (Le Morne)
Winds ease slightly to 25–28 km/h, and outer reef wave heights drop to around 2 meters. The weather will be sunny with occasional cloud cover. Temperatures hold steady at 26°C, and water sports will be easier to manage for intermediate-level enthusiasts.

Southeast Coast
