The weather in Mauritius for the start of the week is expected to be mostly favorable, although the trade winds will remain a dominant feature on both days. On Monday, brisk southeast winds will bring passing morning showers to the central plateau and southeastern regions, while the rest of the island sees bright intervals and dry skies. By Tuesday, the weather will stabilize further, with slightly lighter winds, warmer air, and even fewer clouds.

Let’s explore the regional weather outlook for both days:
June 16 – Monday
Northern Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)
The morning will begin slightly overcast with mild humidity, but sunshine will dominate by mid-morning. The southeast wind will blow at 25–30 km/h, with highs around 25–26 °C. The weather here is ideal for outdoor activities, with little to no risk of rain.
Northwest Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)
Mostly sunny with some scattered clouds in the afternoon. Winds remain moderate (20–30 km/h), and the temperature holds steady around 26 °C. The sea is calm inside the reef, making the weather great for swimming and water sports.
Port Louis and Central Plateau
A brief spell of morning drizzle is possible between 8–10 a.m. due to moisture over the central highlands. Southeast winds could reach 30–35 km/h with gusts. Daytime highs reach 26–27 °C. Expect a mix of cloud and sun with mostly dry conditions for the rest of the day.
West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)
This side remains the calmest. Winds here are light (15–20 km/h), and the weather is sunny with a few afternoon clouds. Temperatures climb to 27 °C. The lagoon is flat and inviting.
Southwest Coast (Le Morne)
Windy and warm, with gusts up to 70–90 km/h at the summit and 35–45 km/h along the beach. Air temperatures hover around 25–26 °C. Waves beyond the reef reach 2–3 meters, perfect for advanced surfers and kitesurfers.
South Coast (Bel Ombre)
Cloudier skies with light rain expected between 7–9 a.m. The rest of the day remains dry with improving visibility. Temperatures stay between 24–25 °C. Rough seas and high winds make beach activities less ideal.
South Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
Cloudy and breezy in the morning, with occasional light showers. Winds may reach up to 50 km/h. The sea is rough, with wave heights of up to 3 meters outside the reef. Sea temperature is around 25.8 °C.
East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)
This area will see the strongest trade winds (40–60 km/h). Rain showers are possible in the morning, but the sky should clear by noon. With rough seas, swimming is not advised. The air temperature stays around 25 °C.

Partly sunny with a slight chance of drizzle on ridge areas in the afternoon. Temperatures settle at 26–27 °C. Winds ease to 20–30 km/h. Expect a comfortable and mild weather pattern throughout the day.
West Coast
Continued sunshine and light breezes (~20 km/h). Temperatures remain in the upper 20s. The calm weather supports safe swimming, boating, and kayaking.
Southwest Coast
Wind gusts reduce to 30–40 km/h, and wave heights fall slightly (2–2.5 meters beyond reef). This coast remains breezy but welcoming for experienced surfers.
South Coast (Bel Ombre)
Less cloud cover than Monday. Winds weaken and the weather becomes drier. Temperatures reach 25 °C. It’s a more stable day for coastal walks and light water sports.
South Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
The breeze drops to 20–30 km/h. Sea state improves slightly, though caution is still advised in deeper areas. Air temperatures approach 26 °C. Visibility improves as clouds diminish.
East Coast
