Clear skies greet most of the island this morning, with only light cloud patches drifting from the east. Winds are blowing at around 18 km/h from the east, providing a fresh and gentle start to the day. The day is expected to remain mostly sunny, with only minor cloud development during the afternoon. Rainfall is not expected, though a brief, isolated drizzle of 1–2 mm could occur this evening in some regions.

Daytime temperatures will reach up to 28°C along the coast, while cooler conditions persist inland, with Grand Bassin starting the morning at around 16°C. Sea temperatures hover at a pleasant 26.5°C.

Tidal information: Low tide is expected around 2:00 AM and again at 2:00 PM. High tide will occur at approximately 7:33 AM and 9:07 PM.

North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)
The north enjoys some of the best weather on the island today. Sunny skies dominate throughout the morning and afternoon. Light eastern breezes and calm seas make this an ideal day for swimming or snorkelling. The weather is stable and dry, perfect for exploring local markets or planning a beachside lunch.

Northwest Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)
The northwest will experience a mild, sunny morning with just a few passing clouds. Afternoon conditions remain clear, with temperatures peaking around 28°C. The eastern breeze keeps things comfortable. Weather-wise, it’s an ideal time for catamaran excursions and lagoon dips.

Port Louis and Surroundings
The capital starts off calm with sunlit skies and light winds. By mid-morning, temperatures quickly rise. Port Louis recorded 30°C yesterday and is expected to reach similar levels again today. Expect a humid afternoon, but no rain in the forecast. Weather conditions support outdoor activities in the city’s gardens and waterfront areas.

West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)
Westward, the morning sun stays strong. Slightly more cloud may form by early afternoon, but the weather remains warm and inviting. Sea conditions are relatively calm, with wave heights around 2 meters, suitable for boat trips or diving adventures.

Southwest Coast (Le Morne)
Le Morne benefits from clear skies and gentle breezes through the morning. By early evening, cloud build-up from the south may bring some shade but no expected rainfall. This part of the island experiences consistent weather, perfect for kite surfing or an afternoon hike.

South Coast (Bel Ombre)
Sunny intervals dominate Bel Ombre’s weather today, with breezes pushing occasional cloud patches inland. Despite the maritime wind, beachgoers can enjoy good visibility and warm temperatures. The ocean remains somewhat unsettled, so caution is advised for swimmers.

Southeast Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
The southeast begins with sunshine, but by late morning, a few clouds roll in. The sea is more turbulent here today, with 2.5 to 3-meter waves approaching from the east and south. Despite this, the weather inland is fair and dry for most of the day.

East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)
The east coast is one of the cloudier regions this morning. Some low-level clouds from the ocean may linger briefly but dissipate by noon. Afternoon weather is mostly clear, though seas remain rough with strong waves. Ideal for a walk along the shore, but less suited for water sports today.

Tomorrow’s Weather – Thursday, June 5

Tomorrow promises another fair-weather day across Mauritius. Conditions remain dry overall, with just a slight chance of evening drizzle in elevated inland zones.

Winds continue from the east at about 20 km/h. Coastal temperatures will hover around 28°C, with cooler readings inland.

Sea conditions remain rough on the eastern and southern coasts, with wave heights of up to 3 meters offshore.

Sunrise is at 6:39 AM and sunset at 5:37 PM.

North Coast
Fair skies and steady weather persist in the north. The breeze keeps things cool despite strong sunshine. No rainfall is expected, making it ideal for morning jogs or seaside yoga.

Northwest Coast
Similar to today, the northwest remains mostly sunny, with perhaps a little cloud cover in the afternoon. The weather stays beach-friendly.

Port Louis
Another hot day in the capital. With temperatures likely touching 29–30°C again, it’s advisable to avoid peak sun hours. No major weather disturbances are expected.

West Coast
The west continues to enjoy sunshine with light to moderate winds. Afternoon heat is balanced by sea breezes, but be aware of slightly higher UV levels.

Southwest Coast
A continuation of today’s clear trend, with dry conditions and bright skies. Wind remains moderate, and wave action offshore is noticeable.

South Coast
The southern regions stay dry, though slightly cooler due to wind exposure. Weather remains pleasant but swimmers should note continued rough sea conditions.

Southeast Coast
More cloud cover is possible here tomorrow, particularly in the morning. However, the overall weather outlook is still dry and fairly sunny. Seas remain rough.

East Coast
The east will start off breezy and partly cloudy. While inland areas enjoy calm weather, the coast continues to face wave action, making swimming risky.
