The weather in Mauritius is finally shifting toward a calmer, more settled rhythm. After a stretch of gusty, rainy days, Monday and Tuesday are expected to bring sunny spells, gentle southeasterly breezes, and improving sea conditions. While a few light showers may pass through early in the mornings, most regions will enjoy warm, dry weather—ideal for beach days, boat trips, and inland exploring.

Morning clouds will linger over central and eastern parts of the island, but these are not expected to bring any heavy rain. Brief showers may occur around dawn, especially on the high plateau. Winds will blow steadily from the southeast at 18–22 km/h, and wave heights across southern and eastern coasts will gradually decrease to around 1.8 metres.
North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)
The weather starts off sunny and clear, with temperatures around 22°C in the early morning, rising to 29°C by midday. The lagoon is calm and perfect for swimming, paddleboarding, or simply soaking up the sun.
Northwest Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)
Bright sunshine dominates the day with barely a cloud in the sky. The stable weather creates excellent conditions for lounging on the beach or snorkelling over coral reefs.
Port Louis and Surroundings
A passing early shower is possible between 7 and 9 a.m., followed by a steady clearing trend. Daytime highs reach 29°C, with light maritime breezes keeping the capital city comfortable.
West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)
The weather will be warm and dry throughout the day. The sea is smooth, with ideal lighting conditions for underwater photography and lazy afternoons by the water.
Southwest Coast (Le Morne)
Winds may pick up slightly here (up to 26 km/h), which is good news for experienced kitesurfers. The waves are gradually calming, making the coast safer for water sports than in recent days.
South Coast (Bel Ombre)
A hint of morning haze is possible, but skies clear quickly. Sea conditions are improving, and the weather remains comfortable for long walks along the beach or a seaside lunch.
South Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
Early in the day, the lagoon resembles glass. Further out, waves may reach 1.9 metres, so it’s best to stay close to the reef when swimming or snorkelling.
East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)
Early morning may bring short-lived showers, but skies will brighten by mid-morning. Wave heights are easing to around 1.8 metres, and winds are noticeably lighter than previous days.

Tuesday, June 3
Tuesday is shaping up to be the most settled day of the week. As the high-pressure system weakens, winds continue to ease, and seas grow calmer. The weather remains consistently warm and pleasant, with abundant sunshine across most of the island.
North Coast
The weather remains flawless: light winds, smooth sea, and a high of 29°C. Ideal conditions for morning swims and sunset walks.
Northwest Coast
Another beach-perfect day. Expect clear skies and low humidity. With gentle breezes and no forecasted showers, this region offers one of the best beach experiences on the island.
Port Louis
The capital enjoys mild morning weather, followed by a warm, dry afternoon. Ideal for exploring markets or coastal cafés.
West Coast
Waves drop to around 0.4 metres, and the sea remains crystal clear. Sunsets are particularly vivid, so don’t forget your camera if you’re near the beach at dusk.
Southwest Coast
The kitesurf scene quiets down as the wind fades, but the weather still supports relaxed beachside activities and safe swimming.
South Coast
Sheltered coves along the coast are calm and quiet, with soft morning light filtering through thin cirrus clouds. A perfect day for those seeking serenity and sun.
Blue Bay
The water visibility is excellent, and marine life is especially active. Afternoon breezes stay below 10 km/h, making conditions ideal for kayaking or snorkelling.
East Coast
Wave activity is still noticeable offshore, but most of the coast remains bathed in sunshine. A passing light shower is possible later in the afternoon but won’t disrupt plans.
