The weather in Mauritius is taking a brighter turn. A weakening anticyclone is calming the winds and allowing sunnier skies to take over. Clouds will still appear here and there, but most of the island can expect dry conditions and improving sea states—especially in the west and north.

Northern Coast – Grand Baie, Pereybere
Morning weather is mostly clear, with temperatures around 21–22°C early on, warming up to 28°C by midday. The sea is calm and inviting, making it a perfect day for sailing, swimming, or even a peaceful walk along the beach.
Northwestern Coast – Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches
This region enjoys some of the most stable weather today. With sunny skies and light winds, the temperature hovers around 29°C in the afternoon. The turquoise lagoon is flat and warm—ideal for paddleboarding or lounging in the shallows.
Port Louis and Surroundings
Some light morning haze may linger, but the weather clears quickly. Expect warm, sunny conditions with highs of 27–28°C. The wind remains light, and the capital offers a great setting for shopping, sightseeing, or sipping coffee by the waterfront.
Western Coast – Flic en Flac, Tamarin
It’s shaping up to be a stunning day out west. The weather here is warm and dry, with light southeasterly winds and gentle 0.6–1 metre waves near the shore. Afternoon temperatures peak around 27°C, perfect for a beachside lunch or sunset walk.
Southwestern Coast – Le Morne
A few morning clouds may pass overhead, but they’ll soon give way to clearer skies. Weather remains dry, with highs of 27°C. The ocean is slightly choppier here, with waves reaching 1.8 metres outside the reef—so it’s best to swim inside protected lagoons.
Southern Coast – Bel Ombre
Skies stay mostly sunny throughout the day, though there might be morning mist over the nearby hills. The weather is warm and gentle, with highs near 26–27°C and calm seas. It’s a good day for paddle trips or lounging under the shade of coastal trees.
Southern Coast – Blue Bay, Mahebourg
The lagoon remains glassy and clear. Weather conditions are excellent, with plenty of sun and a high around 28°C. Outer reef waves remain at 2 metres, so it’s safest to stay inside the bay for water activities.
Eastern Coast – Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce
Clouds may linger early, but sunshine dominates by midday. Weather stays stable with highs reaching 28°C. While the ocean is still slightly rough around the reefs, lagoon conditions improve—great for swimming or fishing near shore.

Monday, June 2
The week kicks off with more sunshine and calm weather. Humidity drops slightly and skies remain mostly clear. The anticyclone still affects the region, but with more stable pressure, the sea state improves even further—especially in sheltered areas.
Northern Coast – Grand Baie, Pereybere
The day starts warm at 22°C and peaks near 28°C in the afternoon. Weather stays clear, with a light breeze and flat sea. A perfect day for a boat trip or snorkelling off the beach.
Northwestern Coast – Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches
The weather continues to impress: mild breezes, calm waters, and plenty of sunshine. Expect 28–29°C highs and barely a cloud in the sky. Ideal for sunbathing or a beach picnic with the family.
Port Louis and Surroundings
Light morning fog lifts quickly, giving way to clear weather. Conditions remain warm and dry, with the sea breeze picking up slightly around midday. A good time for exploring the Caudan Waterfront or the capital’s markets.
Western Coast – Flic en Flac, Tamarin
Waves decrease slightly compared to Sunday. The weather is sunny with just a light southeasterly wind. Afternoon highs reach 28°C, and the lagoon is perfect for a lazy float or a swim.
Southwestern Coast – Le Morne
Waves reduce to 1.2–1.5 metres offshore, but still offer decent conditions for experienced surfers or kiteboarders. Weather is bright and breezy, with some stronger gusts by late afternoon. Temperatures climb to 27°C.
Southern Coast – Bel Ombre
The southern tip enjoys a sunny, calm day with barely any clouds. The weather supports all kinds of outdoor activities, from cycling to kayaking. Temperatures remain comfortable at around 27°C.
Southern Coast – Blue Bay, Mahebourg
The lagoon here is in excellent shape today. Weather is ideal for diving or glass-bottom boat tours, with highs around 28°C and wind conditions easing. Visibility is especially good thanks to clearing currents.
Eastern Coast – Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce
There may be some early morning mist, but it burns off quickly. Skies remain mostly sunny with highs of 28°C. Although some residual chop lingers on the reef line, lagoon waters stay safe and swimmable.
