Have you ever thought about bathing in a crystal clear, blue waterfall in a secluded, paradise-like location? Nestled in the lush landscapes of Mauritius, the Eau Bleue Waterfall is a breathtaking natural wonder that offers visitors a serene escape from the bustling tourist spots. Known for its crystal-clear blue waters and tranquil surroundings, this waterfall is a must-visit for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers alike.
If you visit Mauritius, you will surely notice that there are many beautiful waterfalls. You can swim in some of them, and the brave ones can even jump from the cliffs, although this can be a dangerous feat. Such spectacular adventures can enrich your Mauritian holiday with an unparalleled experience. One of the most beautiful of all is the Eau Bleue waterfall, whose water is refreshingly cool and crystal clear, all in a lush tropical environment. You can find the waterfall by clicking on this link and park here.

If you visit on a weekday, there are very few people, and you will most likely be swimming alone. However, on weekends, it is visited by more locals, which is also a great experience, as they routinely dazzle you with spectacular jumps from the top or from the trees above.
The Eau Bleue waterfall is easy to find, but approaching it requires some practice, as there are two descents into the valley. The one closer to the waterfall leads along a steep wall covered with roots, which is a bit slippery, but you can easily cling to the tree roots. You can find the other descent further down in the direction of the river, where it is easier to descend, but you have to walk back over larger rocks in the riverbed. Choose the one that is more ideal for you. 🙂
Unfortunately, the Eau Bleue waterfall is not visible all year round. This wonder of Mauritius only appears during the rainy season, which is from January, February to May. However, if you visit the island during this period, it is worth going there and taking a dip in it.
