The weather across Mauritius this Sunday is expected to remain mostly pleasant, with sunny intervals dominating the early part of the day. As humidity increases later on, the chance of scattered showers—particularly during the afternoon—also rises. This transitional late-autumn period still feels very summery, especially along the coast where daytime temperatures are forecast between 27°C and 29°C. The sea remains warm at around 26°C, and wave activity is moderate, creating favourable but cautious conditions for beachgoers and boat trips.
North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)
Mostly sunny weather is expected in the morning, creating ideal conditions for beach activities and early swims. A few clouds may develop later in the afternoon, bringing a slight chance of brief, light showers. The sea remains calm, with excellent visibility near the reefs.
Northwest Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)
A blend of sun and patchy cloud cover is weather forecast. By early afternoon, a brief shower may roll in from inland areas, but overall, the region is expected to stay dry and warm. Sea conditions remain generally gentle, with low swells near the shoreline.
Port Louis and Surroundings
The capital will experience warm and humid weather throughout the day. Maximum temperatures could reach up to 28°C. Light easterly winds and occasional cloud build-up may trigger short bursts of rain in the late afternoon, mainly over higher ground.
West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)
A bright and breezy weather start is expected. Winds will remain soft, making it a good day for snorkelling or kayaking. Later in the afternoon, brief isolated showers may develop, but they are not expected to persist.
Southwest Coast (Le Morne)
Le Morne will be under more persistent cloud cover, especially around the mountains, where the chance of drizzle or light rain is slightly higher. Winds are a bit stronger here, and the sea is moderately rough, especially beyond the reef line.
South Coast (Bel Ombre)
Mixed weather is likely, with long stretches of sunshine broken up by passing clouds and occasional rainfall. The sea remains slightly agitated, particularly in exposed areas, so caution is advised during swimming.
South Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
Sunday morning starts off sunny and serene, perfect for paddle boarding or a lagoon cruise. Clouds may gather from the east by late afternoon, with a chance of short rain episodes. Water remains clear with soft currents.
East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)
Cloudier conditions are expected earlier in the day compared to the west. The easterly wind brings intermittent showers, especially toward midday. While the sea remains swimmable, wave activity is higher compared to other coasts.

Monday’s weather across Mauritius will follow a familiar pattern of sunshine and brief, scattered showers. Daytime temperatures are forecast between 25°C and 27°C, with higher humidity levels due to moist air continuing to move in from the east. As in recent days, most rainfall is expected in the afternoon, and sea conditions will stay stable, although with occasional choppy patches.
North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)
The north continues to enjoy relatively stable weather conditions, with long sunny spells in the morning. While a few clouds may appear by late afternoon, the chance of rain is low. The sea is calm, offering perfect opportunities for morning snorkelling or a catamaran excursion.
Northwest Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)
A generally sunny day with occasional cloud patches drifting in from inland areas. A short, localised shower may develop around mid-afternoon, but won’t last long. Visibility over coral zones remains good.
Port Louis and Surroundings
Port Louis starts off warm and still, with humidity building throughout the day. Afternoon rain is possible, particularly toward Moka and other elevated areas. Light winds from the southeast bring in moist air, which could cause patchy fog late in the evening.
West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)
Flic en Flac will experience one of the more settled weather profiles. A sun-filled morning with calm surf makes for ideal conditions. There’s a very low chance of rain before nightfall.
Southwest Coast (Le Morne)
Le Morne may start off cloudy again, especially near the mountain peaks. Showers are likely to return during the afternoon. Sea conditions remain moderate, and wind gusts may affect visibility on the open water.
South Coast (Bel Ombre)
Similar to Sunday, a mixture of weather is expected: mostly dry with some midday clouds and a few light showers by late afternoon. Sea swell stays moderate, with some movement in the tide around exposed areas.
South Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
A clear and calm morning is on tap, with increasing humidity and a chance of rain after 3 PM. The lagoon remains mostly protected from stronger winds, offering smooth conditions for kayaks or glass-bottom boat tours.
East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)
More cloud cover and an increased chance of passing rain in the late morning and early afternoon. Winds remain brisk from the southeast, and the sea is choppier here than in other parts of the island.
