Weather forecast for Mauritius: 1st and 2nd May, Thursday and Friday

The first day of May brings changeable, windy weather to Mauritius. The morning starts cloudy, with heavy rains possible from the east, while light showers are possible in the central plateau and southern regions. During the day, high clouds will drift in from the west, and although it will not rain all day, there will be no sunshine either. The average wind speed is 33 km/h, but gusts can reach 60–75 km/h. The 24-hour rainfall total is between 3–9 mm, with up to 12 mm in the central region.

North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)
Cloudy, windy day, with occasional showers. The wind is strong from the southeast, with occasional gusts.

North-West Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)
Variably cloudy skies, with occasional rain. The wind is strong, but the waves are lighter due to the westerly orientation.

Port Louis and surrounding areas
Cloudy weather, with occasional showers. The wind is also significant in the city, especially in the afternoon.

West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)
Cloudy periods, but there may be short sunny periods in some places. Showers are not excluded, especially in the hillier parts.

South-West Coast (Le Morne)
Strongly windy, cloudy weather. Occasional light rain is possible. The sea waves will be particularly strong.

South Coast (Bel Ombre)
Cloudy weather with light rain in the morning. Strong winds and significant waves along the coast.

South Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
Cloudy in the morning, rain may arrive from the east. Changeable weather is expected during the day, with strong easterly winds.

East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)
The most active precipitation is along the east coast. Showers are expected, the wind is stormy, and the sea is rough.

The atmosphere will calm down a bit on Friday. The front has moved away, and the strong anticyclone behind it will stabilize the weather. The air humidity is low, but the daytime warm current is still noticeable. The wind is decreasing, but the sea is not completely calm yet. Precipitation can only occur occasionally, mainly in the morning hours.

North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)
Variably cloudy weather, with more sunshine. The wind is weakening significantly, a pleasant day is expected.

North West Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)
Sunny and cloudy periods alternate, precipitation is unlikely. The temperature is pleasantly warm, with moderate winds.

Port Louis and the surrounding area
Drier, calmer weather will be typical. Some clouds in the morning, but it may clear up during the day.

West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)
Good weather, with occasional veil clouds. The wind is light, an ideal time to relax on the beach.

Southwest Coast (Le Morne)
Clouds will decrease during the day, the wind will no longer be a problem. No precipitation is expected.

South Coast (Bel Ombre)
Variably sunny and cloudy weather. Much calmer than the previous days, the wind will be weak.

South Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
There may still be some clouds in the morning, but the weather will improve during the day. The sea may still be rough, but conditions along the coast are more favorable.

East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)
There will still be a light wind, the clouds will thin out. Fresh, clear air in the morning, then sunny periods.
