Weather forecast for Mauritius: 28th and 29th April, Monday and Tuesday

The first days of the week will bring changeable weather to Mauritius. A warm, humid air mass will remain over the island, which may cause showers, thunderstorms and in some places significant amounts of rain. The air humidity is high, the wind is blowing from the east at an average speed of 13 km/h, but this will also increase in the coming days. April 28th – Monday

North Coast (Grand Baie, Pereybere)
Variably cloudy weather, with occasional rain, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Thunderstorms are possible, with 10–35 mm of precipitation expected. Temperature 27–29 °C.

Northwest Coast (Mont Choisy, Trou aux Biches)
Even sunnier weather in the morning, then rapidly increasing clouds and rain, with lightning in places. Winds remain light to moderate.

Port Louis and surrounding areas
The day will start sunny, but heavy showers and thunderstorms are possible in the afternoon. Temperatures will reach 30 °C, and the air will remain humid.

West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)
Sunny and cloudy periods alternate, with an increased chance of rain in the afternoon. Lightning and short, intense rain are also expected.

Southwest Coast (Le Morne)
Variable weather, more likely to rain from the afternoon, accompanied by thunder.

South Coast (Bel Ombre)
The weather will remain unstable in the southern parts: rain, thunderstorms may develop in some places in the second half of the day.

South Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
After several hours of sunshine, the sky will become cloudy in the afternoon and showers are expected. The wind is light, coming from the east.

East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)
More cloudy weather, with intermittent rain and showers. The amount of precipitation may be significant in some places.

Sea situation
Sea state: Moderate waves in the west (1.1 m) and in the north (1.3 m).
Waves: Waves of 1.5–2.0 meters are expected in the east and south.
Warnings: Watch out for rain and sometimes stronger waves.

Thunderstorms are expected, especially in the afternoon. Winds will pick up a bit.

Port Louis and surrounding areas
Cloudy weather, with showers and thunder in several waves. Temperatures between 28-29 °C.

West Coast (Flic en Flac, Tamarin)
Heavy clouds, with several heavy rains expected during the day. Lightning is also possible.

Southwest Coast (Le Morne)
Persistent clouds, heavy rain from the afternoon. The air is humid, the temperature is 27-28 ° C.

South Coast (Bel Ombre)
Variable weather with lots of rain, the wind may strengthen from the afternoon.

South Coast (Blue Bay, Mahebourg)
Larger amounts of precipitation are likely, with 30-50 mm of rain in places. The wind will pick up.

East Coast (Belle Mare, Trou d’Eau Douce)
Overcast weather all day, with showers, gusty winds late in the afternoon.
