Weather forecast for Mauritius: 20th March

In Mauritius, there has been rainfall in several places in the past 24 hours, with severe thunderstorms sometimes accompanied by thunder at Black River, Tamarin, Le Morne. Two mini tornadoes have also formed at Pointe aux Sables.

Expected weather for today:

We will remain in the same hot, humid and unstable atmospheric conditions, with a breeze blowing from the east at 13 km/h.
The morning sky is clear over almost 75 percent of the island, with fog in the mountains.
Clouds are moving in from the west, with clouds possible around 9 am, and a risk of rain around 10 am.
Several places are at risk of showers and thunderstorms during the day, with amounts ranging from 20 to 75 mm.
The risk is higher around Vacoas, Rose Hill, Paille, Palma, Curepipe, Rose Belle and the Airport.

The sea is rough, with waves of 2.3-2.7 meters in the east and south.
The northwest wave is breaking at 1.2-1.5 meters. Beyond the reefs the sea is rough, with waves of 2 meters, 50 south. Adventures in the open sea are not recommended.

High tide: 16:08 and tomorrow 03:05.

Low tide: 09:45 and 20:59.
